Gift Planning: 1816 Legacy Society

Carry on the Eternal Vision of our Founders

When you include American Bible Society in your will or estate plan, you join a group of individuals dedicated to sharing God's Word. You join a community committed to making an eternal difference. And you support an organization—and a vision—with roots dating back to the early 1800s.

Nearly two centuries ago, Elias Boudinot, John Quincy Adams and a team of national leaders held onto an eternal vision: they wanted to share God's Word with the world. So, in 1816, they set out to fulfill this vision, joining forces to establish American Bible Society. Today, we hold onto this same vision, working to make the Bible available and alive in the most difficult places—from rural villages in western China to war-torn communities in the Great Lakes Region of Africa.

When you include American Bible Society in your will or estate plan, you become a member of our esteemed 1816 Legacy Society. You support Bible translation and distribution around the world. And you carry on the eternal vision our founders.
